A Lady In Waiting

by Willi Brown

My death

she is

always near me

to my left

almost demure

utterly polite

my twinness shining

shadows my dance

is amused by my daring

I often ask her advice

she smiles for the long moment

then sighs deeply as shee

looks to the west

not speaking

simply looking

to the west

waiting.

next

tuesday...
